We believe that by doing so, we can inspire daily and translate that inspiration into an optimal quality of life for each member of our community.
At VHE, we believe in meeting each member of our resident family exactly where they are, intellectually, emotionally, and developmentally. We design our support based on each person's unique personality, temperament, and comfort. Our goal is to provide more than just a home to live in, but to facilitate a life of inspiration and purpose.
Our team of Direct Support Professionals is committed to demonstrating the heart of VHE's mission by going above and beyond. We promote overall quality of life by engaging in fun community activities, extracurricular outings and events, meaningful relationship development, worship service participation (optional), and many other activities. We provide caring support from the heart, so every member of our resident family feels and knows their presence is vital and meaningful to others.
Viola Homes Estate, Inc. (VHE) was founded with a vision to provide care for adults with disabilities and contribute to the success of families by leaving a lasting impression that will impact future generations. VHE believes that we all have a responsibility to our neighbors because we each affect one another in some way throughout life. When families struggle with the challenges of caring for an adult family member with disabilities, it can impact the entire dynamic of the family unit. Caring for a disabled loved one can affect employment opportunities, financial stability, personal life balance, and many other aspects. Therefore, partnering with knowledgeable professionals and trusting the care their loved one receives based on respect, dignity, individual autonomy, and integrity can better enable that family unit to thrive.
What began as a vision has become two Adult Residential Facilities (ARF) located in Orange County, California: LaHabra and Westminster. At VHE, we embrace a culture of excellence, always striving for greater outcomes in the quality of care and support for each member of our resident family and their personal families. We view our caregiving as a partnership with the family and encourage ongoing strong relationships with natural family.
At VHE, our service goes beyond the day-to-day care of food, hygiene, and a safe and beautiful place to live. We actively engage in the community as a necessary part of our mission. We design activities to meet and match the unique personalities of every member of our resident family. We offer a wide range of activities, including picnics at the park, movies, church or other worship preferences, trips to the lake, car shows, bowling, airplane shows, library visits, community musicals, artwork museums, theme parks, train rides, whale watching, family reunions, and birthdays.
Viola Homes Estate, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that was established in September 2021. It holds both a California state license and vendor certification. The concept of Viola Homes Estate was created by Dr. Miatta Snetter, a licensed Clinical Psychologist, who recognized the need for more inclusive and direct services for individuals with severe developmental and intellectual disabilities. The aim was to create a home that provides a holistic and comprehensive culture of service. Over time, the organization has grown and now serves numerous individuals each year.
Dr. Miatta Snetter, a licensed clinical psychologist, leads as CEO alongside Diane Jack, an accomplished accountant serving as treasurer, and Tanji Jefferson, a talented music manager serving as secretary. Together, they form a dynamic team dedicated to achieving their goals and making a positive impact in their respective fields.
